Dear UNT Community,

UNT will open as scheduled tomorrow, Tuesday, Jan. 16, for the first day of Spring 2024 classes.

We understand the freezing temperatures and snow varied across the Metroplex, but the major roadways throughout Dallas and Fort Worth are clear. As always, we urge our students, faculty and staff to exercise their judgment for their personal safety and to use caution while traveling. 

Buildings are being heated, but systems in some cases may not make the rooms as comfortable as everyone would like given the extended period of extreme cold. Please dress appropriately for warmth in the below freezing outdoor temperatures and for varying temperatures indoors.
