Bolstering Rural Instructor Development for Dual Credit Growth & Expansion in Texas (BRIDGE-TX)

BRIDGE‑TX at UNT offers tuition support for 125 rural Texas teachers to earn the credentials required of dual credit instructors.

Who May Qualify?

To qualify for the program, you must:

  • Be a Texas teacher employed by a rural school district according to the most recent Campus Type Data by Year on the TEA website
  • Meet UNT graduate admission requirements
  • Attend a required onboarding meeting with the Dual Credit Network team
  • Participate in a required checkpoint meeting each semester
  • Participate in ongoing virtual network and collaboration opportunities during fall and spring semesters
  • Participate in annual summer professional development
  • Complete your program by Summer 2029
 

 

What is Included?

  • Tuition support for chosen degree program to completetion (30-hr MA or up to 18-hr GAC)
  • Enrollement in Dual Credit Network for ongoing support and collaboration
  • Professional Development at no cost
  • Opportunity to bring dual credit students to campus for a tailored experience

Graduate School Application Priority Dates*:

  • Fall: June 15
  • Spring: Oct 15
  • Summer: April 15

*UNT reviews graduate program applications holistically. The university considers all parts of the application and supporting documentation to determine admission. After a required virtual meeting, the Dual Credit Network team will connect you to the appropriate department for specific requirements.
