Annual computer security awareness training coming soon, to be completed by Nov. 13

Oct. 5, 2020

Your continued efforts to foster an environment that helps keep critical UNT information secure are greatly appreciated. As we continue to work to maintain this goal every year, UNT System is rolling out KnowBe4 — an award-winning training platform that will benefit all of UNT World — through the UNT World Learning portal at untworldlearning.untsystem.edu.

Faculty and staff will receive an email from UNT World Learning about training Oct. 7, the day it becomes available. UNT System ITSS employees’ access to the training began Oct. 1.

To help ensure the security of our critical information, all employees are expected to complete this year’s security awareness training by Nov. 13, 2020.

The required training includes three modules, which are a total of 45 minutes in length.

Once all mandatory video courses are completed, employees can download and print a completion certificate. You will earn one Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credit for completing the training.

All faculty, staff and contractors — including new faculty and staff hired after Jan. 1, 2020 — are required to participate to fulfill changes to our state requirement.
