UNT Day at North Texas Fair and Rodeo is Friday, Oct. 23

Oct. 19, 2020

The North Texas Fair and Rodeo is partnering with UNT to host UNT Day at the fair Friday, Oct. 23. Complimentary UNT Alumni Association gaiters may be claimed on a first come first served basis at the information booth located inside the Exhibit Building. They are available to the first 300 UNT alumni and friends while supplies last. (Look for a life-sized cutout of Scrappy in his cowboy hat to help spot the booth.)

This year's fair received approval from local government and will be following a COVID-19 safety plan that includes face covering requirements, social distancing, a touchless cash system, sanitation stations and reduced capacities in various areas of the grounds.

Friday's schedule includes carnival rides, livestock shows, a kids' tractor pull, concerts and other attractions throughout the night. There will be bull riding at the Miller Lite Bull Blow Out starting at 7:30 p.m. and concerts featuring Braxton Keith, Garrett Bryan and Madison Paige at 6 p.m., Sawyer Brown at 9:30 p.m. and Randall King at 11 p.m.

General admission to the fair, rodeo and concerts is $20 for adults and $5 for children ages 7-12, but UNT faculty, staff and students will receive a $6 discount on a gate ticket purchase Friday with a valid UNT ID. Gates are open from 6 p.m. to 1 a.m.
