Known for its burgers, brisket queso, and enormous Last Supper mural depicting Texas music legends as disciples, LSA (short for Lone Star Attitude) has become a popular fixture of the historic Denton Square.

Just three blocks north of the Square, Loco Biscuits are served for breakfast and lunch daily along with freshly squeezed juice and customized coffee and hot tea.

Crooked Crust

Located just across the street from the Language Building at the corner of Hickory Street and Avenue A, Crooked Crust offers “pizza just this side of normal,” including a Mean Green pizza loaded with chicken, artichoke, pesto, and mozzarella.

When you're up all night studying for that big test, it helps to have a reliable 24-hour food option. For some students, that option is the Mean Green-themed Waffle House at the northwest corner of I-35E and University Drive.

Another all-night option for hungry students can be found on the Square in the form of Dix Coney Island, serving up a variety of traditional American diner foods, including blueberry pancakes, chili-cheese fries, and pastrami cheeseburgers.

Just three miles south of campus on I-35E, Oldwest Café offers cowboy-themed fare with names like the Iron Horse, the Trail Boss, and the Cattle Baron.
