Welcome to UNT 101, a weekly series to prepare you to hit the ground running for your new life at UNT. We've interviewed Eagle Ambassadors (read: UNT aficionados) about everything from the best places to study to the best music venues in town. Let their answers be your guide to joining the Mean Green family.

Between our dining halls and retail options, there's no shortage of choices when it comes to grabbing a bite to eat on campus. Here are some of the Ambassadors' favorites:

Chick-fil-A restaurant front view

Chick-fil-A

Coming to UNT won't stop you from craving Chick-fil-A on Sundays, but you can satisfy that craving Monday through Friday by stopping by the Express location on the second floor of the University Union.

Avesta front door entrance

Avesta

Also located on the Union's second floor, Avesta is a full-service restaurant that offers upscale cuisine that won't break your dining budget. The menu is made-from scratch and made to order with fresh local and regional ingredients.

Which Wich sign and assembly counter

Which Wich

Just down the steps from Avesta and across from Barnes & Noble at UNT in the Union, you can order the sandwich of your dreams from a Dallas-original chain with as many customizable combinations as a freshman college schedule.

Students enjoying lunch on the rooftop

Union Rooftop Terrace

Sometimes where you eat your food can have a bigger impact on your day than where you got your food. Whether you pick up something from the Union or bring your lunch from home, the rooftop terrace off the Union's fourth floor provides a pretty great place to take it all in.
