This unique program offered by College of Applied and Collaborative Studies uses project-based learning to emphasize specific skills that are important to employers. Prepare for a ca through dynamic coursework, built-in industry engagement and three summer internship programs.

Project: Focus on project management, collaborative thinking, communication, global design and leadership. You’ll learn how to use the tools and technologies common in the workplace to lead teams and accomplish key tasks toward big-picture organizational goals.

Design: Hone your out-of-the-box thinking in areas such as creative and organizational design. You’ll learn how to solve difficult problems and navigate complex business processes to deliver new products and services.

Analysis: Learn to use data to make informed business decisions, with a focus on applied probability and statistics, forecasting, modeling and data analytics.

Applied Project Design and Analysis Degree Courses You Could Take

Data Design, Analysis and Representation (3 hrs):
Introduction to basic concepts in statistics, interpretation, and visualization of data patterns. Topics may include data generating processes, descriptive statistics, and graphic data representations.
Process Optimization and Prescriptive Analysis:
Introduction to simulation and optimization processes. How to address complex problems by using day to day operations data.  Topics may include deterministic and stochastic modeling for operations research, linear programming, production frontiers and theory of constraints.
Inferential Analysis:
Introduction to inferential statistics, optimization, group comparison, and probabilistic measures to inform decision-making processes. Topics may include probability, hypothesis testing, and linear regression of quantitative and qualitative data.
Applied Design Thinking (3 hrs):
Introduces students to the field of design, how designers approach and address issues, and explores design as a practice, process, proposal, and product.
Applied Design Principles and Practices (3 hrs):
Survey of design principles applicable to a variety of industries and professions.
Applied Design Research (3 hrs):
Apply generative, exploratory, and evaluative research methods used by designers to gather deep insights.
