My favorite place on campus is Pohl Recreation Center. It has all the equipment you need for cardio and weight training, and everyone there is friendly and working hard. You can work out on your own with your headphones in, or play organized sports and have a good time with your friends. They even let you borrow camping equipment and kayaks.
Eat! There are a ton of different restaurant options in Denton, and several more on campus. My goal is to try two or three new restaurants a month, and go to all of UNT's dining halls every semester.
Participate in as many extracurricular activities as you can during high school. Much of your learning takes place outside of the classroom. Also, start preparing for the SAT or ACT early. Don't let anyone tell you that you're a “bad test-taker.” It's a skill that you have to practice!
