What to Expect

Bring the whole family and learn more about the UNT experience from Staff representatives. At this free event, you'll have the opportunity to:

  • A family-friendly evening with outdoor activities and attractions for all ages.
  • Want to apply to UNT? Apply at our Application Station and receive an application fee waiver!*
  • Admitted to UNT? Be entered to win a Green & White Tuition Award just for attending!**
  • Meet one-on-one with Admissions staff to check your application status or ask questions about the application process.
  • Meet representatives from our academic colleges and select student support services.
  • Mingle with other future students. You may just meet your future roommate!
  • Enjoy music, light refreshments and UNT swag!

* Undergraduate freshman or transfer applicants for Spring, Summer or Fall 2027 only. No retroactive fee waivers will be offered for applications submitted prior to event day.

** Green & White Tuition Awards are for students who plan on enrolling for Fall 2026, Spring 2027, Fall 2027, and Spring 2028.

  • “UNT Summer Soar Party 2026” is a come-and-go, choose your own adventure style event where you pick the area you want to explore that interests you the Come for a little while or stay for the whole event – just don’t leave without your questions answered!
  • See below for the full Event Schedule. A printed copy with activity locations will be provided at Event Check-in near the Clock Tower.

6-6:30 p.m. Welcome, and Green & White Tuition Award #1 Come jam out with our MC and future eagles as you check out the event schedule. Be entered to win a Green & White Tuition Award just for attending. Must be present to win! See printed schedule for the locations
6:30-8:30 p.m. Academic & Resource Fair/Classroom Takeovers Meet with representatives from various colleges and departments to learn more about our programs offered at UNT! See printed schedule for the locations
6:45-7:15 p.m. Admissions Presentation Get tips for success throughout the application process. See printed schedule for the locations
7:30 p.m. Green & White Tuition Award #2 Gather together for our second Green & White Tuition Award of the night. Must be present to win! See printed schedule for the locations
8:30 p.m. Final Green & White Tuition Award Gather once more for our final Green & White Tuition Award of the night and learn about our 2026-27 admission events. Must be present to win! See printed schedule for the locations

6-9 p.m. 1:1 Admissions Recruiter Meetings Meet with an Admissions Recruiter to talk about any last-minute questions regarding your admission to UNT. See printed schedule for the locations
6-9 p.m. Summer Soar Mingle & Swag Meet your future classmates and pick out one complimentary UNT swag item. See printed schedule for the locations
