Eagle Advantage
Designed to support high-achieving students, the Eagle Advantage Program is the University of North Texas’ partnership with North Texas school districts offering guaranteed admission, exclusive campus experiences and access to scholarship opportunities. More than just an admissions pathway, Eagle Advantage provides early engagement and personalized support to help students transition from high school to college life at UNT and connects them to the Mean Green Family.

Congratulations on being in the top 25% of your junior class in a participating school district. As an Eagle Advantage student, you’ll receive:
- Guaranteed admission to UNT
- VIP invitations to UNT signature events
- VIP campus tours
- Eligible to receive a $1,000 scholarship (one per participating high school)

Testimonial: The Eagle Advantage Program gave me early access to the University of North Texas by granting me automatic admission to the university in my junior year of high school due to being within the top 20%. Throughout my experience in the program, I have learned a greater understanding of the importance of community. During my senior year of high school, I had the chance to take part in an October preview event where students had the chance to tour the campus, learn about campus culture, etc.
Here at UNT, I have been able to get involved with Mean Green Productions, the North Texas Daily, North Texas Television, recreational intramural sports and multiple campus ministries. Outside of campus life and my studies, I enjoy playing the piano, learning languages, photography and traveling.

July
Applications open July 1 for the following fall term. For example, you can apply starting July 1, 2026 for Fall 2027.
October
Apply for scholarships through the UNT Eagle Scholarship Portal.
January
Submit your FAFSA/TASFA by Jan. 15.
Register for an Event
Junior Day is a one-day experience at the University of North Texas! Students will
learn more about UNT and the various programs and resources offered.
Join us for an overnight experience at the University of North Texas. Dates for
the 2026 Senior Day will be released soon!
Senior Advantage Day is a one-day experience designed to help high school seniors
find out what the UNT experience is all about!
You are invited to participate in Mean Green Family Live webinars hosted by UNT Parent
Programs, focusing on new student transition.
Be our guest at an admissions event! UNT hosts various visitor experiences throughout
the year to leave you feeling welcomed, informed and inspired.
Orientation is your first step in successfully transitioning to UNT. Freshmen orientation
is a 2-day experience designed to help students become acclimated to the university.
