March 1 Noon - 1 p.m. SketchUp - An Introductory Look at Designing in 3D Register Here
This course allows the participants to utilize SketchUp for Web, to learn architectural concepts and artistic renderings of structures.  Participants design, model and edit their dream house, using precise measurements which would allow for building to specs in the real world. The participants will learn elements of how architects begin a design, including materials and plans. The goal of the course is to have the participants develop and enrich their understanding of Architectural design and planning. The participants will be provided with real-world, hands-on practical activities and projects to help them become proficient users SketchUp, software that is commonly used in the industry. March 2 Noon - 1 p.m. Cricut Design Space - Learn to Develop Personalized Projects Register Here
In this zoom session we will teach individuals how to take advantage of Cricut Design Space to develop their personalized projects and gift ideas. Presented by Alondra Lopez of University Libraries - The Spark Makerspace.

Confident interpersonal skills are crucial to professional development, as well as other aspects of life. Being confident in our communications is seen in our behaviors, such as: asking for what you need, handling confrontations gracefully, and putting ideas forward with assurance. In this session, we will focus on developing confidence through assertive communication.  Assertiveness skills not only help improve teamwork, focus discussions, and build relationships, but they also help individuals become confident, constructive, and perform at their best. You'll have the opportunity to practice skill development, and generate an understanding of how to boost your self-confidence and improve communication with others. March 4 Noon - 1 p.m. Introduction to Origami Register Here
Not crafty? No worries! This is a fun activity for all skill levels. Learn how the ancient art of origami is transforming the future of science and technology as you fold paper cranes and craft a unique hanging mobile. You will have the option to make cranes of various sizes and colors/patterns. Materials will be provided. Please feel free to bring outside materials if you have something specific in mind. Basic supplies will be provided and will be available for pickup at Human Resources- Support and Services Building 116. Presented by Cailey Gehrig of Human Resources.
March 4 1 - 2 p.m. Narrative Health: Disability Poetics Register Here
This workshop uses the tenets of Narrative Health - using story as a means to listen to those around us.  We will use this to examine how we view and discuss disability.  We will read a poem from the Disability Poetics movement together, discuss it, and then through a structured exercise write our own poem.  This session is for all, whether you hold an identity within the disability community or not, to discuss and listen to the voices of those in our collective UNT community. Presented by EmmaLee Pallai, MFA of Institutional Equity and Diversity.

Join UNT's Registered Dietitian live to create a day of healthful meals that taste great and can be on the table in minutes. All of the showcased recipes can easily be made for one or two people or feed a growing family! Presented by Danielle Gemoets of Student Health and Wellness Center.

March 8 Noon - 1 p.m. Painting with a Twist - UNT Flag Register Here
Come out and paint with us and show your UNT Spirit by learning to paint the UNT Flag via Zoom.  Preregistration is required with limited spots available of 10 since session presentations are via Zoom and we have materials for everyone to pick up in advance! Presented by Charlotte Cooke of Staff Senate.

March 9 Noon - 1 p.m. Introduction to Alcohol Ink Art Register Here
Alcohol ink art is a fun and easy craft to do.  This class will introduce you to alcohol inks covering supplies needed, examples of what you can create, and fun techniques to explore and play with.  You can join along to try your hand or just watch the demonstration. Basic supplies will be provided and will be available for pickup at Human Resources- Support and Services Building 116. Presented by Cheryl McQueen of G.Brint Ryan College of Business.

The goal of the course is to have you develop and enrich your understanding of website architecture and design. You will be provided with real-world, hands-on practical activities and projects to help them become proficient in coding with HTML and JavaScript. This workshop uses a “Diversity Thumball” to initiate conversation about differences and our own personal perspectives. Questions such as “what makes you different,” “in what ways is your world diverse,” or “share a situation where you were in the minority,” you can give and receive perspectives about things you likely never even thought about. The experience will help you learn more about yourself, your colleagues, and how diversity and inclusion enriches us. Drawing from recent research in the field of Positive Psychology and Resilience, this workshop will focus on how the experience of awe can be intentionally utilized to infuse joy and deepen connections in our day to day life. Utilizing practical examples and experiential exercises, participants will be invited to experience and explore awe that can benefit themselves and the students they serve! Have you been considering graduate school at UNT? Join our session to learn about helpful information on how to pursue a Master's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. This degree is an excellent opportunity for you to grow professionally and advance your career. The INSD program consist of 30 hours total and the self-styled format is very flexible. There are three concentrations, the primary concentration is anywhere between 12-18 hours and the following two concentrations are at least 6 hours each.
