Complimentary guest parking for all Grad School Preview guests is located in Highland Street Garage or Lots 36, 38, 39, 40 and only. What is UNT Grad School Preview?

UNT Grad School Preview is our signature event for anyone exploring graduate studies, including master’s and doctoral degrees, graduate certificates and online or accelerated options. Meet faculty and staff, tour campus, learn about admission, financial aid and scholarships scholarships, and discover what makes UNT a top choice for advanced education.

How should I prepare for the event?

After registering, keep your confirmation email handy for quick check-in and review the event schedule and parking details to plan your route and parking location.

Will I be able to talk to someone in my program of interest?
Yes! Most programs will be represented during the Graduate Fair and several will host breakout sessions with faculty and advisors. A full list of participating programs will be posted as the event nears.
I'm visiting from out of town. Where should I stay?
Denton offers a variety of great lodging options, from unique bed & breakfasts to hotels close to campus. Visit Discover Denton to explore accommodations.
Will any portion of Grad School Preview be offered virtually?

Virtual sessions will not be offered this year, but you can explore archived webinars or watch our program highlight videos to learn more about our graduate offerings.

When will I receive directions and parking information?
You’ll receive a reminder email the week of the event with parking maps, arrival details and a link to the full event schedule.
Will on-the-spot admissions be available?

Yes, select colleges will offer on-the-spot admissions during Fall Grad Preview, including the:

  • College of Business
  • College of Information
  • College of Merchandising, Hospitality & Tourism (CMHT)

Participation is at each college’s discretion.

Decisions are based on review of the applicant’s materials, which may include:

  • Unofficial transcripts
  • Résumé / CV
  • Statement of purpose
  • Test scores (if required)
  • Students should upload these items in GradCAS before or during the event and bring a government-issued photo ID for review.
What do I need to apply on-site and get a fee waiver?

To apply during the event:

  1. Create a free GradCAS account.
  2. Select your intended program.
  3. Complete the first two sections of the application (profile & academic history).

Our team will confirm your attendance and email you a fee waiver code the following week. Waivers are valid through December 1, 2025 for Spring, Summer or Fall 2026 terms.

How can I take advantage of the fee waiver if I don’t apply on-site?

You can still qualify! After the event, you’ll receive an email with your waiver code and application link.

To redeem:

  1. Start a new GradCAS application.
  2. Enter your fee waiver code.
  3. Submit your application by December 1, 2025.
