Apply for graduation at the beginning of your last semester. All fall and summer graduation candidates are invited to participate in the Fall 2024 commencement ceremonies.
Verify or update your mailing and email addresses at least six weeks before commencement and update your contact information with the UNT Alumni Association.
For students who experienced login issues on the RSVP website last week or over the weekend, we're happy to report that the issue is resolved! Please review the RSVP information below and proceed with submitting your RSVP if you have not already done so.
The commencement RSVP deadline for fall is 5 p.m., Friday, Nov. 8. Check your graduation application status in my.unt.edu, and if you have been approved to graduate, you will be able to RSVP by logging in with your UNT EUID and password. Complete the process by providing the requested information.
The same commencement RSVP prompt was sent to your student email starting Wednesday, Oct. 23, if your application has been approved, or if you've applied and your approval is pending. To ensure that you receive this message, please add commencement@unt.edu, info@commencement.unt.edu, and noreply@marchingorder.com to your safe senders.
Regardless of whether you were physically in Denton or Frisco while you earned your degree, or if you completed most or all of your courses through distance learning, we invite and encourage you to participate in our ceremonies on the UNT campus so you can cross the stage, see and hear your name announced and be congratulated in person by UNT leadership.
To ensure your name is included in the commencement program, complete a request to release directory information (if you previously requested that your directory information be withheld concerning your academic records).

Printed programs will not be distributed at commencement ceremonies, but graduates may pick up a limited number of Fall 2024 commencement programs from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Dec. 9-13, Dec. 16-19 and Dec. 20 until noon, in the UNT Alumni Center, Gateway Center, Suite 170 (801 North Texas Boulevard, Denton, Texas, 76203). Park in Lot 20 or in one of the 30-minute parking spaces adjacent to the Gateway Center.
Visit (and join if you haven't already) the Talons to Talons' Commencement page and engage with other graduates, share photos and memories about your graduation experience, and your plans for the future so you can stay in touch with your peers.
Graduates, guests and anyone else entering the Coliseum or MPAC must pass through metal detectors at venue entrances before proceeding to the seating or staging areas.
Candidates should plan to arrive one hour before their ceremony's scheduled start time. Check the ceremony schedule. Line-up will begin one hour prior to each ceremony's scheduled start time.
All candidates will enter the Coliseum at the west tunnel near the building’s electronic sign off of North Texas Blvd. Parking will be available in the lots next to the UNT Coliseum (Lot 20). ADA parking will be available in Lot 27 (at the corner of Maple Street and Highland Street). Parking is on a first come, first served basis. Normal routes to campus may be closed and surrounding streets will be congested with event traffic. Expect delays.
There are no ceremony rehearsals. Please give announcers, marshals and staff your complete attention before and during the event to ensure you have all the necessary instructions.
When the ceremony processional begins, ceremony marshals will direct you to your seat. During the ceremony, cheer for your classmates crossing the stage and respect those who come after them. When your turn arrives, marshals will direct you when to rise and go to the stage where your QR code will be scanned to trigger your name announcement. You’ll receive a diploma cover, be congratulated by your dean or college administrator and then exit the stage to have your photo taken by Flash Photography before returning to your seat.
Remain for the duration of your ceremony.
Your diploma will be printed and mailed to your official address UNT has on record within six weeks of commencement, following receipt of final grades and after verification that you have met the final requirements for graduation. You may also order official transcripts reflecting your new degree.
Meet with your department advisor/major professor before registration to make sure you have an official degree plan on file and that you have completed or are enrolled in all requirements for your degree.
